Castles in Space is extremely proud to present the debut LP by Lausanne based Visage Pâle."Holistic Love"is a beautifully rich electronic LP of entrancing songs sung both in French and English.
Musician Lars-Martin Isler aka Visage Pâle captures the limitless potential of his machines to create enigmatic, sometimes fragile soundscapes which result in an LP of organic electronica that combines dark layers of sound with liquid beats and luminous vocal harmonies.
The Abidjan-born dual Swiss and Swedish citizen began fiddling with the piano and the guitar when he was 17 and soon composed instinctive tunes of his own. After an adolescence torn between moments of happiness and tragic events, Lars used music as a form of emotional release. The result is an extraordinarily moving record which packs a real emotional heft.
Pressed on orange vinyl in an edition of 300, the LP has the usual Castles in Space attention to detail, featuring a double sided insert and beautiful sleeve featuring a photo found by Lars at a Paris street market, all designed by the ever brilliant Nick Taylor.

lyrics
REALLY wish I'd subscribed sooner to be able to enjoy this on vinyl! Curious the artist cited 12 Monkeys and not La Jetee as one of the key inspirations. For me, this has a more somber, introspective and timeless feel more akin to La Jetee than 12 Monkeys (though I also am a big fan of Terry Gilliam). Gorgeous music and you get the bonus of a list of excellent movies to enjoy (another note to the artist: Time Crimes is also a good film to watch). Now to somehow procure a vinyl copy... Such a great idea translating stamps into music. Four brilliant tracks hotter than a Bunsen burner flame. I would love to see this issued on vinyl. roblove1
